The Goodspeed Opera House dates back to 1963.  It opened as a professional musical theater.  The Goodspeed is located in an historic building on the banks of the Connecticut River in East Haddam, CT. New and newly revived musicals are offered on its main stage. A total of more than 400 performances are offered during the season. The theater attracts over 130,000 patrons annually to the Connecticut River Valley.

The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, CT is the second stage of Goodspeed Musicals. Built as a factory in the early 1900s, the 200-seat performance space opened in 1984. Goodspeed’s holiday show – A Connecticut Christmas Carol! is performed at the Norma Terris Theater. Repeat Riverwind Inn guests rave about this show year after year!

The Ivoryton Playhouse located in Ivoryton, CT has been an important part of Connecticut’s cultural landscape for more than 100 years. The Ivoryton Playhouse season runs from early spring (March) through December. A typical season has three or four plays and two or three musicals. The 250-seat theater is air-conditioned and conveniently located off the highway.

The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center is located in the historic town hall building on Main Street in Old Saybrook, CT.  Opened in 1911, the center includes a 250-seat theater. The center offers music, opera, dance, comedy, film and a variety of children’s programming. A small museum honoring Katharine Hepburn, Old Saybrook’s most celebrated resident, is located in the theater lobby.
